Three-quarter figure, standing to the left in a tuxedo. His right hand rests on a table filled with papers with books below. His left hand rests at his side. His topcoat is on the chair to the right rear. Rectangle. The title is a facsimilie signature and to the left of the signature is a miniature engraving of his home in Concord, N.H. The copyright appears at the lower right of the lithograph. This lithograph is from the painting by G.P.A. Healy.
The accompanying page of text is a commentary on significant acts and policies associated with the Pierce administration. The author's signature, John T. Morgan, appears at the end.
