An engraving explaining a commorative medal honoring American independence in 1776 and Benjamin Franklin. At the top of the rectangular field is pictured the medal, front and back. Below, surrounded by a leopard is the explaination of the medal. The field is enclosed in a broad border, 2/16. Below is a tribute to Benjaman Franklin and a coat of arms honoring the Constitution of the United States.
