Date of composition uncertain; Joseph II was co-regent with Maria Theresa from 1765 to 1780, and the oath ("serment") transcribed in volume II, p. 158, is given to both. The paper bears the watermark of the Dutch Van der Ley company, which dissolved in 1774 (although the name was used into the 19th century) cf. Gravell, Thomas L., A Catalogue of foreign watermarks found on paper used in America, 1700-1835 (New York, 1983).
Anonymous compilation of exercises, regulations, and commentary (in French), relating to the Austrian Army. Includes exercises for the imperial and royal infantry, general regulations for all the infantry, and regulations for the regiment (which is divided into sections on pay, articles of war, regulations for the General Staff, general regulations, campaign regulations, regulation of the garrison [including religious rules], and regimental privileges).
