In an unidentified hand, probably that of a high-ranking French officer or his aide.
Possibly a later copy of the official roll.
Contents: Infanterie armee qui est actuelement en Boheme [p. 3-4] -- Armee qui est commandee pour marcher au Rhin et pour passer de la en Boheme [p. 5] -- Troupes qui restent en France [p. 6-7] -- Recapitulation [p. 8]
Includes name of regiment, number of battalions and squadrons of infantry, cavalry, and dragoons.
Totals indicate that 1 batallion consisted of 685 men; 1 squadron of cavalry, 100; 1 squadron of dragoons, 140; 1 battalion of militia, 600. Roster totals 225,955 men.
Context: In 1741, the French and Bavarians had held Prague; but in 1742, the troops of Maria Theresa seized that city and overran Bavaria.
[Ownership?] stamp in purple ink on p. [1]: G.A.J. Sep 1884
