Copied by Albert Virgil Sizer from an original ms. written by his grandfather, William Sizer, an officer in the Connecticut Continental Line.
Also includes a transcript of notes on the family by the hand of William Sizer; for transcript of William Sizer's genealogical notes, see "Sizer genealogy," compiled by Lillian Hubbard Holch (call no. 929.2 S625 1941), p. 15-16.
The original William Sizer ms. is believed to have been lost in a fire, so this nineteenth-century copy is the primary source for its content.
Given in memory of James Burnet Sizer III by Chaplain Peter Bennington Irvine, who represents William Sizer in the Connecticut Society.
