Antone [sic] Selin on command at Cartown Schott's company was an element of the Middle Dept. at this time, engaged in the Sullivan Campaign against the Iroquois -- see Wright, R.K. The Continental Army, p. 349-350 and Kilbourne, J. D. Virtutis praemium, v. 2 p. 870-871. Lawrence Myers of Maryland had been a 2d lieutenant in Hazen's Canadian Regiment before becoming a 1st liet. of Ottendorff's battalion or Armand's corps in 1777. Both Schott and Selin were original members of the Pennsylvania Society of the Cincinnati.
