Scene in a house with a drummer and several officers just inside the door, one of whom is carrying the warrant, facing a defiant Major Andre, who stands at a table depicting the subtitle, "He placed his hat on the table and cheerfully said, I am ready at any moment" Two more officers stand behind Andre at the table and a third sits on a chair next to the table with his head in his hand in grief.
