Horse and rider and encampment in the background and the American flag flying atop the fort at the left. Engraving includes a plain 1/16 border and a lined frame, 10/16. Title appears in the frame below the engraving. The artist and engravers names appear below the frame In the lower right corner of the sheet is "Vol. 1. page 288."
