Ms. record (tables on both sides) from the court-martial trial of Admiral Keppel for failing to pursue the enemy during an engagement with the French fleet off Ushant in July 1778. The charges against Keppel brought by his second-in-command Sir Hugh Palliser; Keppel was acquitted, but Palliser had soon to face his own court martial.
