Note
Full figure, standing to the left. He is leaning on his long rifle, his dog at his feet. His left hand rests on the top of the rifle and his right hand rests on his left hand and his holding his hat. Behind him is a tree where a large branch has fallen to the ground. The woods and a body of water, either a lake or a river, are seen in the background.
This limited edition hand colored engraving was reproduced from the original engraving by Harding and Lewis in the possession of the Missouri Historical Society. The Pathfinder Press produced 392 prints of which this is print 81. A Certificate of Authenticity accompanies the print.
The print, Certificate of Authenticity, and an information sheet about the history of the print and the reproduction process, are contained an a commerative portfolio. The cover of the portfolio is titled: Daniel Boone, First hero of the American frontier. Along the bottom is the name and address of the printer. The portfolio is sealed with a decal of the printer.
