Mr. Jenifer owes 300 bushels of corn to the state of Maryland, but the men he employed to do so will not take it on their boat, as British boats still sit in the bay. Jenifer instead asks Smallwood to collect it when his army marches south, and to store the corn at George Town for him. There is a draft transcript in our case file.
