Note
A series of wood engravings celebrating the 100th anniversary of Battle of Yorktown. Across the top is a view of the encampment on the battlefield looking toward the bay, with numerical identification of Gloucester Point, the town of Yorktown, and the Moore House. In the center is a scene of "the death of Major Scammell" with portraits of "Rochambeau" on the left and "Cornwallis" on the right. Around the outer margins and across the bottom are a series of smaller engravings (from l. to r.) "Nelson house under fire"; "blindfolding British officer"; "view of Yorktown from Gloucester Point"; "porch of the Moore house"; and "surrendering the standards"
