The bottom includes 9 columns of explanation and a general introduction to the chart, mentioning Vauban and Coehoorn, along with a index of the elements shown. The central panel shows tools and basic parts of construction for forts. In the upper right corner of the title is reads: "Tom. 7. no. 41."
