A lithograph of a tribute by volunteers from Philadelphia in 1840 to those who died on the night of September 20, 1777, at Camp Wayne in Paoli. The scene shows an encampment and columns of 1200 soldiers passing the "grave of the murdered victims, in funeral order" at Noon on 21 Sept.1840. Below the lithograph is a facsimilie of the monument erected by the troops of Chester County along with the names of all the company commanders who participated in the tribute, along with the name of governor and his aids.
