Scene of the battle. Below the painting are the following notations from left to right: Battleflags 7th Reg.t of Foot (Royal Fuxileers); Col. J. E. Howard; and Brig. Gen. D. Morgan. At the top of the painting, it reads: #1 "Don Troiani's battles that forged a nation series," published by Historical Art Prints, Southbury, CT, in a limited edition of 1250 from the original painting. Copyright 1996. Below the painting is the title and author and to the lower left is the print number and to the right is the signature of the artist.
In the case file is a Certificate of Authenticity. There were 1250 prints, 100 artist proofs, 80 Publishers Proofs, and 2 proofs for copyright registration published. This is Publishers Proof 45/80. The certificate also includes an historical discussion of the battle by James L. Kochan.
