A group of concerned citizens, three men and three women, watch the smoke rising from the battle on Bunker Hill from the roof top of their home in Boston. Other citizens can also be seen on the roofs of their homes in the background toward the harbor. In the upper right, beyond the top of Copp's Hill, is the spire of the old North Church.
