Note
Satirical print. A large buffalo, representing America, has created havoc on St. James Street. A woman peddler has fallen over and dropped fish and bread on the street, and English ministers, Portland, Cavandish, North, Fox, Thurlow, Dempel, Shelborne, and Pitt, rush to grab the goods. The ministers discuss the "disturbance" and the sharing of the spoils with the Loyalists in America. George III watches from a window and smiles. John Bull symbolizes the English people; Paddy, the Irish.
