The Deal Castle, commanded by Capt. James Hawkins, was in St. Lucia in October, 1780, with another ship, the main body of Sir George Rodney's fleet having sailed to the coast of America. The account is of her disastrous voyage to Puerto Rico, subsequent sinking, and a long account of life on the island.
