Two manuscript versions of an account recording funds advanced by Louis Pintard to American officers held as prisoners of war on Long Island, including 287 officers listed by name, rank, state, and unit, most of whom were captured at the Battle of Long Island or the surrender of Fort Washington.

In an unidentified hand
Both documents list in four columns the officer, rank, state, and unit. No. 1, in an additional column, includes the sums owed by each officer.
Other prisoners listed include Major General Lord Stirling, James Irvine, Pennsylvania militia general captured in 1777; the turncoat Nicholas Hausegger of Pennsylvania; Col. Robert Magaw, commander at Fort Washington; Gold Selleck Silliman, taken from his home by Loyalists in 1779; Brigadier General William Thompson, captured in Canada; and David Waterbury, Connecticut militia general captured at Valcour Island.
