Entry for 2nd Sept.: This day drew a bill on Jonathan Potts Esqr. director of the Genl. Hospital at Fort George for one hundred & twenty five pounds 5/ 3 N. York cur[renc]y. In May, 1776, the Continental congress resolved that Potts be taken into the pay of the Continental Army and that he be assigned either to Canada or Lake George.
