April 24, 1780]: instructions for a review for the incoming French ambassador, Anne-César de La Luzerne: “the Maneuvers ... being founded on the principles established in the Regulations it would be a disgrace to the Army not to have them performed with precision ..." -- [3]. Steuben to George Washington, Fish Kill, N.Y., July 9, 1780: partial draft in English in the handwriting of Benjamin Walker. Recommendations for allied operations against New York City.
