In another had [Willis'?] on address leaf: The L673.14.9 in Mr. Fishers Hands. Then money ... for Smith is settled in the payments made him after he was struck off by Gen.l Gage.
"We have long since heard from London, that the contingent bill of the 28th Regim.t amounting to L673:14:9 has been allow'd by Governmn.t and we expected you would have given proper notice of it, I therefore hope will without delay either remit it or give an order to draw for it, to Co. Browne or the Com.g off.r
