Letterhead: Les Amis du Vieux Toulon, which was founded in 1912 by a group of Toulon personalities, under the high patronage of Jean Aicard (member of the French Academy) and the sculptor André Allard (member of the Institute).|"Je prend note ... de vos intentions sur les Cincinnati ...."|Vicount Fontenay, a member of the French Acadamy and an ambassador, was also a member of the French Society of the Cincinnati, representing the Marquis Claude Amblimont. He was also a descendant of Charles Sumter of South Carolina.
