Summary
"Your colt is sold according to your request. The mare is ot wold but is now in the woods"|"P.S. "I should be glad that he could get the disposal of thy affairs out of thy wifes hands as she hath not acted for thy interest for some time past.. from thy friend Isaac Tomlinson"|Aaron Chew was captured at his home while on leave from the N.J. militia, and was held prisonernear Long Island, N.Y.| Before the Revolution, Aaron Chew, the only son of Jeremiah, became the owner of the former building. It was kept as a tavern, in 1780, by John Hedger, and John Lewis had charge of the landing. -- see The Town of Gloucester in Camden County on GenWeb. Jeremiah discusses family matters: "I am in a passable good state of health and that yor [sic] sister your wife and son are likewise."
""[Y]our wife hath not conduced agreeable to your interest and I hereby whish that you would send ... authority to the Court of Gloucester to provide for your son and not allow your wife the priveledge of disposing of your effect at her own will ...."
