"I James Davenport ... stand firmly bound and obliged unto the Treas.r of the State of Connecticut in the full and whole sum of ten thousand pounds ...."|The bond represents security related to his duties as Assistant Commissary of Purchases for the state of Connecticut.|Robinson had marched as lieutenant in the Lexington Alarm and served later in the 4th Connecticut from the town of Durham.
