This letter concerns pension benefits for revolutionary war veteran Isaiah McCarty, a Pennsylvania solider who was disabled by wounds suffered in battle during the revolutionary war.
Knox writes: "Please to add to the list of pensioners Isaiah McCarty and to pay him his pension from the thirteenth day of January one thousand seven hundred ninety two to the fourth of March following at the rate of five dollars per month ..."
