5 items: The first awards Bassett half pay for wounds received "at New Haven by the British troops between July 5, 1779 and March 2, 170; and from March 3 to Nov. 1.|The second is receipt on behalf of Bassett, signed Eneas Munson.|The third, dated October 11, 1779, certifies that Bassett received "a wound by a muskett ball from the enemy" on the 5th day of July while acting on orders from Col. [Hezeiah] Sabin, signed Capt. Moses Gilbert and Lieut. Moses Ford.|The 4th, dated Nov. 2, 1780 is Surgeon Eneas Munson's affadavit, certifying Bassett's wound "through the chest", a "disability ... likely to attend him during life."|Watermark: GR beneath a crown
