All 3 items relate to one Thomas Snow, a minor who had served in Col. [Isaac] Sharmen's [Sherman's] 5th Connecticut Regiment.|Item [1]: A.D. signed Mayhew Tupper and Esther Tupper to the Pay-Table Committee March 6, 1782: Please to pay the bearer the ballance of our son Thomas Snows wagers [sic].|On verso of item (1): Chatham, March 12, 1782: This may sertify [sic] that Thomas Snow was a miner [sic] when he deseasd [sic] and Esther Tupper was his natural mother and doth belong to Chatham ...|Item [2]: A.D.S. Chatham, April 22, 1782 : certificate of Thomas Snows service in the Continental Army in the 5th Connecticut Regiment and also certifying that Esther Tupper was "his parent and natural guardian."|Selectmen of Chatham who signed item [1]; Ch[aunc]y Bulkley, Joseph Dart, Joseph Kellogg, and Jon.th Penfield.; selectmen signing item [2]: Chauncy Bulkley, Bryan Parmelee, James Bill, and Jonathan Penfield|Item [3]: Partially printed D.S.
