Item 1 is Loomis' receipt for 116 pounds, 14, shillings, 1 pence; item 2, for 115 pounds, 3 shillings, and 6 pence, both for balance due from January 1, 1782 "as stated by the committees of the state and of the army." Both are docketed similarly on verso as "Entered",|Item 3 is an A.D.S. certifying that Loomis was "Lieut & Adjutant in the late 4th Connecticut Reg.t the whole of the year 1780 & in the present 1st reg.t the whole of the year 1781 & is now serving in the same garrison West Point, Nov. 12th, 1782 [signed] Tho.s Grosvenor, Lieut. Col. Comm.dt of the late 4th & present 1st Reg.t|Loomis, who had served in the 1st Connecticut line, was an original member of the Connecticut Society of the Cincinnati.
