Concerning pension beneifts for the widow of John Torrey, a veteran of the revolutionary war.
Soper writes that "He was in the battle of Bunker Hill and several other campaigns ...," the widow deserves a pension "as she is eight-eight years old and was married in 1776. I have no doubt her claim is a very just one."
