Summary
"Mr. Bosworth reached this place last evening with the forty two horses from you. I will procure a rec.t from Monsr. De Corney [sic] & transmit you in a day or two, and will then inform you some further particulars."|David Trumbull served as Assistant Commissary-General under his brother Joseph. For a brief mention of his role, see the Autobiography of Colonel John Trumbull (New York, 1970), p. 81.|Ethis de Corny was commissary of provincial wars at the time, serving with Rochambeau in Newport. He later became an original member of the French Society of the Cincinnati. He is frequently mentioned in the Papaer of George Washington, vols. 26 and 27.|Pages 2-4 are blank.
