Apparently in the hand of Hephzibah Strong; one line reads, "I would intreat you with all the [tenderness? some text missing] of a compasionate mother that you remember the Sabath [sic] Day to keep it holy to keep your toungue from prophane language dont make God abhor your tent by sin but invite him to dwell with you by earnest fervent prayer ...."
Primarily religious in tone, the letter also mentions having sent butter and mittens by way of family acquaintances John Tery, Capt. Tilden, Gary, and Silas Clarke... as well as other acquaintance WIlliam Lish.
On verso in a different hand: Rec'd 15 Nov. 1776
