With tabulated returns of British troops fit for service at various locations: Fort Ticonderoga (July 1776), after the actions at Hubbardton and Fort Anne (August 1777), after the actions at Wollenscock and St. Croix (September 1777), Saratoga (September-October 1777) and a return of General Gates’s army.
Bound in marbled papers.
Armorial bookplates with motto (Sapere Aude): Militar. collection of the Hon. Lt. Genl. G.L. Parker ((2nd son of Thomas, 2nd Earl of Macclesfield).
General Parker was colonel of the 20th Regiment of Foot, which served (while Parker remained in England) during the 1776 Canadian and 1777 Saratoga campaigns.
