Includes guidance on swearing, perjury and gambling, the advantages of fair and honest behavior, and the importance of keeping the Sabbath.
This new edition, issued at the beginning of the American revolutionary war, includes preface addressing the "claims of the British colonists, and the rights of the parent country" in the current conflict. The book was published for benefit of the "Committee for the Management of the Collection of Benefit of Soldiers employed in America."
