Continental Army before the first day of Jany 1780"|Also: "Please to give an order on the Treasury of state of Conn.t to Alexander Phelps for state notes that is due to me on the setelment [sic] up to the year 80. [signed] David Phelps, Camp Highlands 19 June 1781"|Five Connecticut men named David Phelps appear in the D.A.R. Patriot index.|At bottom: To the Committee of Pay table at Hartford|On verso: Alexander [T?] Phelps [signature?]|Richards was an original member of the Connecticut Society of the Cincinnati.
