Primarily about a proposed centennial celebration of Chillicothe's founding, to be held July 23 "to awaken general interest in the history of our town & its founders."|"The main feature will be the orations by Post-Master General Wilson and some other public man ... yet to be secured,. We had hoped to have Gen'l. Harrison, who is probably the ablest and most distinguished descendant of Virginia ancestors in what was the old Northwest Territory, but his marriage and wedding journey will prevent his coming."|Also mentions Massie's selection as a delegate to the upcoming Republican National Convention in St. Louis.|On leaf 3: "I have been writing a life of Gen'l.
