Translation of: Anabasis.
Dedicated to Duc d'Enghien (Louis prince de Conde), French general and the most famous representative of the Condé branch of the House of Bourbon. Prior to his father's death in 1646, he was styled the Duc d'Enghien. For his military prowess he was renowned as le Grand Condé.
Each part has separate pagination; [2nd] part has separate half title.
Bound in full calf; spine gilt decorated with lilies & angular anchors in compartments divided by raised bands; red morocco label; triple gilt borders on both covers; red leather lining with two anchors hit to center; marbled endpapers.
