This plate accompanied an article that criticized Parliament's inability to resolve several important issues relating to the American colonies.
Depicts members of Parliament riding in a carriage, labelled "For the corrupted boroughs," with honest citizens jolting along behind in an attached basket, passing the shop of "John Wilkes Esq." Several persons offering critical comments on the government are in the foreground, and litter representing various parliamentary bills, including those to do with Quebec and the port of Boston, are scattered on the ground.
