The print depicts a fox (representing Charles James Fox) holding a quill pen in the right paw and approaches to a pug dog with a tobacco pipe (representing Holland). George III is leaning through the right margin, saying "My Fox in this negotiation thou art a mistaken goose." It satirizes Charles James Foxs attempt to offer separate peace treaty with the Dutch Republic at the end of the American Revolution.
