Letter sent from Plymouth by the chevalier Saint-Georges, including account of the battle of Cape Finisterre, off the coast of Spain, in the War of Austrian Succession. The commander of the victorious British fleet, Admiral Anson, had already won public fame for his circumnavigation of the globe just three years before.
