Satirical print commenting on European aid to American colonists during the revolutionary war; a British admiral, represented as a half-man, half-vulture, is tied to a tree, while America, represented as an Indian, trims his claws. Spain and France cooperate in clipping his wings and a Dutchman plucks his feathers and take them away for future trade. The city in the background represents the abandoned Philadelphia.
No evidence that this was actually prepared in Boston & Philadelphia and the French text leaves some doubt.
