"[W]e Zaccheus Case of Symsbury and Daniel Dyer of s.d Symsbury both in the state of Connecticut, are holden and bound to the Governor and Company of said state in the sum of two thousand pounds ... to be paid to said Governor and Company ... we jointly and severally bind ourselves, our heirs &c. ...."
"The condition of the above obligation is such that ... Zaccheus Case is appionted captain of a company of militia, now detached to serve in the State of New York, & will receive out pf the treasury of s.d State of Conn.t money for to pay s.d company ...."
"Now if the said Zaccheus Case shall faithfully apply and dispose of all the money he shall receive ... and therefor accounts with the Pay-Table Committee when required, then the above obligation to be void ...."
