"Received of Pay-Table-Committee, their order on the Treasurer, of this state, to secure the payment of fifty pounds twelve shillings & two pence being the balance due to me on the first day of January last, as stated by the Committees of the State and of the Army. For Sam.l Cook [signed] Sam.l Richards Jun.r|Docketed on verso: Sam.l Cook's / Rec.t / Aug.5 4th 1780 / ... 211|Samuel Richards was regimental paymaster of the 1st Connecticut Regiment.
