Each note contains original signature of J. Huntington crossed out and P. Colt substituted. In addition, the original printed date, 1789, is crossed out and replaced in ink with 1790.
Olmstead's name does not appear in Rolls and lists of Connecticut men in the Revolution or in Johnston's Record of Connecticut men. Hills was a private in the 3rd Connecicut and was taken prisoner near Fort George and later exchanged. Dunham was an ensign in Capt. Wells's Company, Connecticut militia. Heath served in Captain Loomis' Company, Connecticut State troops.
Colt was an original member of the Connecticut Society of the Cincinnati
