Follow up letter written by Giles F. Yates, the family lawyer, to the attempt to obtain a pension on behalf of Prudence Sawyer, widow of Nathaniel Sawyer, a soldier in the New York line during the revolutionary war.
Notes in pencil on verso: recording the information gained from Benjamin Sawyer (Nathaniel Sawyer's brother): "B Sawyer says that Nathaniel served one year in 1776 part the time at Ticonderoga then the brigade went to New Jersey ..."
