"This certifies that the above blankets were rec.d for & deliverd to the soldiers of my comp.y in Col. Durkees Reg.t in 1777 [signed] John Harmon Capt
On April 12th 1780, "Capt. Harmon made oath that the above acct is just and true according to his besk knowledge & belief before Fenn Wadsworth Com.tee"
Docketed on verso: Capt. John Harmon / for blankets d.d / to his Col. Durkee's Reg.t / L43.6.2 / April 12th 1783 / Credit Capt. Harmon
Heitman lists no Durkee with the rank of colonel; nor does Robert K. Wright's Continental Army list a Durkee as colonel. Heitman lists a John Harmon as capt. of the 4th Connecicut 1st January, 1777. Record of Connecticut men in the military and naval service list a Col. John Durkee of Norwich as lieutenant colonel of the 20th Continental Regiment in 1776.
