A compilation of 39 maps, with accompanying text, by Thomas Jefferys. It was published posthumously by his successors, the firm of Sayer and Bennett.
The late Mr. Jefferys, geographer to his Majesty, employed the last ten years of his life in collecting materials for this work, now published under his name ..."--Introduction.
Relief shown pictorially and by hachures. Depths shown by soundings.
Bound in marble paper over boards; rebacked in calf with gilt tooled spine, red morocco label.
