Note
A friendly letter chiefly relating family news: the illness of his children with smallpox and measles, the youngest of whom was Delia, who was born in 1795 or 1797 -- F. J. Sypher. New York State Society of the Cincinnati.
"Pray do you ever pay the 12 dollars US tax, imposed on my Steuben land?" Walker was aide-de-camp to General von Steuben.
North was an original member of the Massachusetts Society, but transferred his membership to New York. Walker was an original member of the New York State Society of the Cincinnati.
