On verso are signatures of witnesses present: Eward Goold and Fr. Dashwood. Goold was a friend and associate of Ludlow in the firm Ludlow and Goold.
Also on verso is the statement of Hugh Wallace "of His Majesty's Council for the province of New York" who had examined Arabella separately and testifies that she "did acknowledge and declare without any threat, fear, or compulsion of her said husband or any other person" that she signed the indenture.
Deed includes the lot, a dwelling house, coach house, store house, stable with the gangways, passages, and waterways on King Street, New York.
Daniel Ludlow was an American Loyalist during the Revolution, but afterwards his known associates included Thomas Jefferson, DeWitt Clinton, and Morgan Lewis.
On vellum; 2 ribbons and 2 seals intact
