On verso: Patent for survey No. 11073 for 256 2/3 acres of land on the waters of the Scioto river, to Walter Dun dated the 2d day of May 1823. Also a manuscript map of the tract.
Also on verso: I certify that Richard Foster and John B. Johnson were originally intitled [sic] to the bounty-lands granted to Walter Dun by the within patent.
Also on verso: Recorded in Volume 18 / page 74 / Geo. Gill Clk.

James Monroe and John B. Johnston were original members of the Virginia Society of the Cincinnati. Richard Foster was eligible, but apparently did not join.
